Playing around with Photoshop I figured I would show what the shed should look like (more or less) once it is painted (but obviously still unfinished).  In actuality there will also be white trim on the corners and around the door.

I have drawn up a preliminary draft of the overall site plan for lot 105 (the northern lot).  Lot 106 will remain native for the first few years at least.  The detached guest bedroom may not fly with the building department, so that idea may be scrapped.

This is the floor plan for our house. The house is 30′ wide and 24′ deep with a 6′x30′ front porch. It will be positioned on the property as indicated on the map with the front door facing roughly south by southeast.

We are very excited to be buying 70 acres on the northern edge of Huerfano County, Colorado.  This land will be the site of our future home and business operations.  We are designing our house now, and will start building it in February, as well as all the ancillary buildings and work shops.

We plan to add Shetland sheep to the ranch sometime in 2010.

This blog will document our progress and plans for everyone to see and comment on.  If you have any input we would love to hear it.
